The
NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, named after Dr. Robert Goddard, "The
Father of American Rocketry," has been at the forefront
of Space and Earth science since its establishment in 1959.
Home
to the world's largest group of scientists and engineers,
Goddard's fundamental mission is to expand our knowledge
of Earth, the Solar System and the Universe through observations
from space and through scientific discovery.
Take
a self-guided tour through our Earth and Space Science
galleries and Rocket Garden and view NASA's historic satellites,
spacecraft and rocketry. Exhibits include the "New
Views of the Universe," astronomical discoveries of
the Hubble Space Telescope, Science as Art, Gemini mockup
and displays of satellite images.
Come
out to hear lectures, see exciting model rocket launches,
and participate in fun-filled children's programs.

of Admission:
Open Tue-Fri 9 am-5 pm,
Sat-Sun 12 Noon-4 pm.
Closed Mondays.
Model Rocket Launches the 1st Sunday of every month at 1 pm.
