This
was just the start of numerous firsts in
aviation including
the first military aviation school (1911-1912), first machine
gun shot from a plane (1912), first Postal Airmail flights
(1918-1921),
first controlled helicopter flights (1924), and
more.
This
large interactive museum has something for all ages from
props that spin, to models
that you can fly, simulators, wind tunnels, and even a plane
you can climb in, along with wonderful historical collections
and aircraft that tell the story of College Park Airport.
